Plot
Andy, who was once the immortal warrior, loses the ability for unknown reasons. Discord, the first immortal, brings back Andy’s old ally, Quynh. Discord’s plan is to turn Quynh against Andy and eliminate her from the group. However, Booker transfers his immortality to Andy and sacrifices himself. Will she avenge Discord?
Star Performance
Charlize Theron looks energetic and impresses us with her action performance. KiKi Layne and Matthias Schoenaerts are good in their roles. Especially, Matthias Schoenaerts’ performance is quite decent than his recent ones.
Analysis
The film starts on an exciting note. However, the story is not much impressive. Although it starts on an interesting note, the predictable scenes make us lose interest. Also, the ending is not satisfactory. As they plan for another sequel, they’d have left it incomplete, yet we feel that it could’ve had a better climax. The action sequences are well-choreographed. Uma’s Discord needs better writing. Discord’s backstory is not explored well. The execution is okay, but it lacks freshness. The visuals and editing are pretty decent.
